We want to shape a responsible energy industry of tomorrow in our country.


We are actively and responsibly building a platform for dialogue with our stakeholders, undertaking numerous initiatives engaging our business partners, NGOs, local communities, customers and the media. In 2017, we held the second dialogue session with our stakeholders to talk about what is important to them in the context of PGE Group's activities.

Stakeholder matrix

The following stakeholder matrix was created at the end of 2014 based on internal survey results and consultations with key representatives of the Group's business areas. It allowed us to identify all external stakeholders. Based on data analysis, we divided stakeholders into 3 groups, depending on their involvement and impact on the company. That is also when we organised the first dialogue session with our stakeholders and identified subjects that are important from their point of view. The collected material constituted the basis for creating PGE Group's social report for 2013-2014 - our Group's first social responsibility report, and the next two integrated reports.

How our Integrated Report for 2017 was created

Three years later - in October 2017 - we invited the representatives of identified stakeholder groups to participate in a dialogue session organised in cooperation with the Responsible Business Forum. No significant organisational changes had taken place since the previous dialogue sessions, including in economic activities that could have an impact on the nature of the Group's social or environmental footprint. The acquisition of EDF's assets took place in mid-November 2017 and its impact on PGE Group's business will be fully visible in 2018. Given the above, we considered the stakeholder map used to create the previous two integrated reports as being up to date. Observing a similar thematic scope of issues being brought up in the dialogue session, we also kept the catalogue of GRI indicators.

The dialogue session was organised around four thematic areas: Society, Environment, Workplace, Market, which are reflected in PGE Group's procedures for managing social engagement initiatives. Within these four areas, stakeholders identified key topics, which were expanded in our Report.

Topics of importance to our stakeholders

We invited representatives from more than 20 different groups to the dialogue session (including NGOs, consumer organisations, industry organisations, business partners, banks, journalists and employees). Together, we identified 20 types of expectations from our stakeholders. All of them have an impact on the shape of this Integrated Report, in which we try to respond to the expectations of our surroundings as well as possible. The following summary of the key expectations is based on scores assigned in individual surveys completed by participations in the dialogue session. Additionally, presented below is a list of the key issues in each of the areas, with reference to the content of this Integrated Report in which we address the expectations presented during the session.

About the dialogue session

PGE Group's stakeholder dialogue process is an approach that allows us, appropriately to the challenges, to conduct tasks in the area of sustainable development and responsible business. We understand that building long-term value must take into account, aside from business priorities, lasting relations with the surroundings, based on trust and openness.

Our approach to dialogue with stakeholders, based on the standard AA1000 (AccountAbility), is intended to exchange views and opinions, allows us to get to know different perspectives, mutual expectations and needs as well as alternative solutions for a better understanding between the parties. PGE Group's dialogue is intended to openly exchange views and opinions and learn about mutual expectations, eventually leading to a greater mutual understanding.

The first dialogue session with PGE's stakeholders was organised in November 2014. All commitments made back then by PGE Group towards our stakeholders were met. Detailed information:
